AFirst of all I have to confess that I wasn't
born in Antonina or Morretes. I'm either Paranaense. Born in Presidente
Epitácio, São Paulo, my link or, my passion about Barreado
went out ocassionally. It was something you can call "love at first
forked".
I still was in first grade of Journalism Faculty at Universidade Federal
from Paraná when I was invited by creation and art team from Senac-PR,
in Curitiba. It was in 1972, in this time I knew Barreado.
I'd participated in search and development from national divulgation
when I was presented to Barreado. I thought it was as normal as every tipical
dish I've ever tasted, But I fell in love with it for the rest of my life.
When I make Barreado in my home, I eat it many days in breakfast, lunch,
and dinner. Sincerelly, I haven't appetite for any other dish.
All information in this web site come from long time searches about Barreado
history, receipts, and folklore aroud the Barreado, including interview
with cooks from Antonina e Morretes, in Paraná littoral. |

All of these is result of a long time experience. If you have any questions
or complaints I'm here to hear you in avelar@torque.com.br.
